Breitling Chronomat 44 Airborne AB01154G.BD13.101W[/caption]
With the release of the Airborne, the Chronomat returned to its roots. After all, the modern Chronomat was designed in the mid eighties to be an aviation tool rather than a luxury accessory. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of this icon Breitling took inspiration from its history and dressed-down the Chronomat so it could once again become the instrument it was once designed to be. And they did a stellar job!
For Breitling fans, the bezel might be the most interesting bit. Breitling did not stop at satinizing their existing design - no. Instead they recreated the look of the original 1984 Chronomat with a full 60 minute division and the well-known rider tabs, which seem to be exchangeable as on the previous generations. The dial has a very instrumental feel to it, while retaining the high level of finish and wonderful details. Well done!
