The Portuguese Chronograph Classic was introduced at SIHH 2013. Instead of replacing the popular IW3714 with a new inhouse model, IWC decided to launch a new model while keeping the evergreen in the collection - and we highly applaud them for it. While the 3714 Chronograph has a very minimalistic appearance, the new 3904 brings a touch of vintage flair to the Portuguese. The dial features a railroad minute track as often found in classic chronographs. The case is more elaborate and the dome of the sapphire almost makes it look like vintage plexi glass.
