BaselWorld 2015 is just around the corner and after the introduction of the Apple Watch, 2015 will finally be the year of the Smart Watch. Being passionate about tech, this is something we're really looking forward to. It will be fun to see in what form the various manufacturers will be adapting the new technological possibilities into their collections. Earlier this year, Montblanc introduced the eStrap. Frederique Constant has also been quite busy with what is said to be the first Swiss smart watch. And now there's Breitling - with a rather different approach we might say. While many, if not all, current manufacturers have used the watch as an extension of the smartphone, the approach by Breitling is just the opposite: it places the smartphone in the service of the watch so as to enhance its functionality and conviviality. When connected (via Bluetooth Low Energy), an app can be used to adjust the time, change time zones, store timing intervals, set the alarm et cetera. This sounds pretty cool and convenient! We'll be adding the price and the reference number to our website ASAP. We recommend taking a look over at WatchBase for more information.
