The Carrera is an iconic chronograph. Named after the grueling Carrera Panamericana road race, the first wristwatch bearing this name was launched at BaselWorld 1963. Over fifty years later, both the name and design have not lost any of their luster - just look at the beautiful 2015 TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 17 CV5111.FC6335 posted above!
The ref. CV5111.FC6335 Carrera has a stainless steel case of 41mm, with the distinct angular lugs also found on the much-coveted vintage Carrera's. The silver dial sports blue subdials (for running small seconds and the minute counter), a matching tachymeter ring, and a bold red -old school- HEUER logo. For the strap, Heuer choose to go with a perforated calfskin, very much matching the vintage theme.
