Introduced at BaselWorld 2015, for the design of the Chronoliner Breitling took inspiration from chronographs of the 1950's and 1960's, most notably the reference 765 Co-Pilot / AVI - the one that recently got the nickname 'Jean Claude Killy'. It is not retro per se though: its stainless steel case of 46mm and ceramic bezel -the first one by Breitling ever- place it firmly in modern times.
The Chronoliner can be fitted with either the mesh bracelet or a the Navitimer type. We can't help to think that it'd look great on calf for that extra vintage touch - something we might have to try soon.
