Originally conceived within the Gerald Genta brand and lovingly adopted when Bulgari took over the house founded by the eponymous designer, the Octo features some of the most intriguing lines found in contemporary case design. And with the clean and tranquil dial of the Solotempo models, this subtle blend of squares, circles and octagonals, takes center stage.
With the pictured reference 101964, the case is stainless steel and measures 41mm across. The dial is about as black as they come - an endlessly deep, glossy, lacqured black highlighted by the hand-applied indexes. The Solotempo is powered by the automatic BVL 193 movement, which can be admired through the transparent case back. It is done in-house and features a double barrel -ensuring a steady rate over the 50 hour power reserve- and fine finishing. As a finishing touch, the crown is set with a black ceramic cap.
