It features a ceramic case and an automatic movement with 7-day power reserve. Continuing with our coverage of IWC's Year of the Pilot, next up is the Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun - another great example of a watch that has received a number of subtle yet thoughtful tweaks. Compared to the 2012 IW5019-01, the new IW5020-01 has lost 2mm, though at 46mm, we wouldn't exactly call it petite. The seconds hand has lost its little red airplane tail and the caseback now features the Top Gun logo devoid of color. Overall, the look is a little less playful and a little more business: something we find very suitable for an all-black pilot's watch from IWC!
